Froilan received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at La Concordia College Manila in the Philippines. He pursued advancement and received a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty focused on Clinical Nurse Leader at Rush University College of Nursing. He is also a candidate in the Psychiatric-Doctorate of Nursing Practice Program at Rush University College of Nursing. Froilan has years of experience working in in-patient psychiatry and helping individuals with mental Illness. His other areas of interest are research on mental health, violence prevention, trauma, psychodynamics, and mindfulness.

Froilan enjoys spending time with his family and playing the guitar.
